Which cars are the cheapest insurance wise? (england)?

I wanna get a car as soon as i'm 18, so i obviously want something which will have cheap insurance. Nothing embarrasing mind.

I hope this helps.
Ford Fiesta, Citroen Saxo, Peugeot 106. All cheap, not too ghastly.
any thing slow and cheap, usually small
something with a very small engine i.e 1.1 or1.2 fiesta, punto, suzuki swift, peugout 205,vauxhall corsa are all cheaper to insure.
Dinky Cars
Smaller the engine the better. Newer the better( more safety and security in new cars = lower premiums). Something not desirable to thieves (R32, Cossies, Scoobies, old fords are thieves fav's. Some old minis have generic keys that can open other mini doors!)

If you go to parkers.co.uk you can see the insurance group for most UK cars on the market.

TIP= I just saved myself £95 on my renewal. Read through what is included. I was paying £65 for breakdown cover and £30 for hire car. Which I now cancelled. If you want breakdown cover buy it separately alot cheaper or free with some banks. They dont tell you when you take the policy out that you can take off some of the extras to reduce the overall premium.
suzuki alto
as its your first car and you are young it will be at least £1000 for insurance. but then it drops each year. but if you have driving convictions this will increase.
I would personally advise a ford fiesta (old) as these are cheaper to run, insure and fix.

But get something with a years m.o.t. so as your insurance drops rapadly after the first year you can get a better car.
fod ka, fiesta
fiat, chink
peugeot 106
shitroen saxo
nothing big basicaly!!!!!!!!.
Any small car with low litre, like 1 litre .
Ford Fista
Go for something with a small engine, also best get a few quotes on a few different cars just to have an idea.
Something with a small engine, not sporty looking, a few years old and not high value.

Because of your lack of driving experience statistics show that you are more likely to crash so by insuring something that will be cheaper to repair you will save a few pounds.

As soon as you've been driving, claim and conviction free, for a year you will see a noticeable difference in the insurance premium which will then allow you to get rid of the old banger and buy something newer and a bit more sportier.

The best thing to do before you buy anything is see how much the insurance will cost first. The last thing you want is to part with your cash and then find out you can't afford the insurance premium.

Try the companies listed on the website below. Most will allow you to pay your premium by instalments as well.
Small engine cars. The more horse power a car has, the more expensive.

I used to have an M reg corsa which was cheap to insure..
Classics, pre 1972 limited mileage cover, also they are ideal in covering up your lack of readies especially sport cars Midgets ec great for pulling in the spring summer, less clever in December.

Minis are good, forget that you fitted a half race 1380 metro engine, tell them its an 850 what the eye doesn't see etc,

Otherwise the sadder the cheaper
