Hydraulic fluid.What is the difference between dextron II and dextron III .Is it chemical makeup or viscosity?

i own a repair shop,and dexron 3 has better additives in it,so it don't foam up after getting hot they also use it now in all gear cases ,it cools and lubricates a lot better ,about the only difference i know of is the viscosity in it,,it holds up better,good luck,i hope this help,s.
Its the chemical make up they are not compatible.
