Why do people always accept no or a tiny bit of discount when they are buying their New Cars from dealers?

I don't understand why customers are so gullable when dealers tell them that is all they can give off the cars.

If more people knew about www.IntroCars.co.uk they could save a fortune.

Thanks for the tip, - I'll had it to my list.
The main reason people don't haggle is they don't understand the car buying process. There's a ton of educational sites for first time car buyers, and i'd personally recommend Edmunds because it not only offers a step by step on how to negotiate -- but also has real pricing data from around the country to compare to.

Many dealers are confident that someone walking into their showroom will not look further afield to see if they can get a better discount elsewhere.

Also, dealers are prevented from advertising their deals outside their immediate catchment area.

If you walk into a dealer in the Midlands for example, and ask for a discount on a specific car - say a Volkswagen Golf TDi, they might not be able to offer you a significant discount on it.

However, a dealer in Scotland (for example) might be able to offer you a substantial discount off the list price. Although how are you going to know about this, without calling round all the dealers.

Well - you can try http://www.buyyourcar.co.uk - the only website in the UK that allows you to compare multiple prices on new, used, contract hire & lease cars across all makes and models.

For example, the Golf TDi, if you look at new Golf TDi on the BuyYourCar website you can see a whole range of offers:

http://www.buyyourcar.co.uk/new-car/volk.

Even if the best deal is from a dealer 200 miles from where you are based, the few hundred pound delivery charge (or you could always go and collect it) is nothing compared to the savings you can make, which are well over a thousand pounds in this case.

Hope that helps.
Got to say that http://www.buyyourcar.co.uk beats the http://www.introcars.co.uk on prices all day long. Not only that it has used and contract hire (what ever that is) and you can sell your car on it for £2.45 "how cheap is that"

I know were my next car is coming from.
