if the yellow light comes on the ecu is recognising a fault so this should be held in the memory for someone to check, it could be a number of things but if its doing it regularly then any decent garage will be able to check it when it doesnt run and work out whats wrong
You say the ECU has been checked, by who? Get it checked by a Vauxhall dealer.
had this problem with a cavalier i turned out to be the ht leads.
U should have bought an equivalent japanese car. Vauxhalls are crap
This is a regular problem on Omegas. I suspect the Crankshaft Sensor. It's reasonably cheap to buy.
i would go to your C.A.B centre.
Try getting your mechanic to replace the throttle position sensor or idle sensor. Ive had this fault a few times to rectify on customers vehicles, and 2 out of 3 times its these. Good luck m8!
The Vauxhall owners network has a lot of interesting topics on Vauxhall problems and are helpful in trying to sort out any problems. Go to: www.vauxhallownersnetwork.co.u. Hope this will help you and stop you being ripped off.
I am assuming it starts when cold no problem?
If it wont restart when hot this is a classic sign of running rich, ie too much petrol to air, easily adjusted by a Vauxhall garage with a turn of a screw.
Suggest they change the air filter at the same time
It may be worth checking with a Vauxhall dealer, but don't expect it to be cheap. It does sound like an electrical fault.
You say you can't afford another car. To be honest, check how much your car would cost to repair. I doubt your car would be worth more than £150/200 in good running order. If the repair ever hapens to cost more than the car's worth, just buy another old banger, an old Micra maybe.
if its 06 it is still covered by the manufacturers warranty so you should take it to your nearest main dealer .But your warranty is now in question if you have had the head skimmed Goodluck
