Maybe try the paper in your area.
british car auctions. they have a few sites round the country
Check out www.british-car-auctions.co.uk. The Measham one is in the village where I live and it is immense - literally thousands of cars go through in a day!
Hey Joe, besides BCA there are lots of other 'Auctions' around, if you are looking for prices or a particular type of car, they wont tell you because they don't know! You need to find a site near to you and go a couple of hours before it starts, look around then watch what they sell for (take a pen and paper), go at least 3 times and don't panic buy, there's always another car!
www.4mag.com serves Michigan, parts of the Northeast, Pennsylvania, Virginia and a few other surrounding areas and is open to the public. Most websites are for dealers only.
BCA or Manheim, think you have to be registered trader to access.
Shoreham Car Auctions Just google their name and it will give you their website. They are not an internet auction but they have a list of cars on the website to look at before you go to the auction. They shift thousands of cars a week.
heres my oponion if your goin 2 put a car in der den go 4 it but DO NOT BUY A CAR FRM DA AUCTION u neva no wats rong wit dem and 8 times out of 10 ull get problems wit da car kk
Hi Joe
Go to the car auctions, there is nothing to fear. but as one of the previous answers stated, go a few times to get the feel for it.
I have bought loads of cars over the years but never rush in. I check if it is ok physically then look at Parkers car guide for the price and never pay more than the part ex price in the book because you have buyers fees to pay on top. For example if you buy a car for £5000 then the fees are £215 extra. This does guarantee that the car is hpi clear and that it has not been written off or damage repaired. If it has been any of the above, then you can return the car. You don't have to be a member of the trade to go there but if you pay cash, you have to leave a £1000 deposit before you can bid. They take debit cards too so if the money is in your account you can pay with the chip and pin service. Good luck with your search.
