Roy is right..just make sure you clean the rocker cover properly and don't sand the head just clean it and there are ten bolts and you will need a ratchet and 10 socket to reach..also feel how tight they are coming off don't squeeze the life out of them when your refitting or they will snap.if you buy a new gasket from a Renault garage it will have the proper tightening procedure and the tightening torque as well ..the tightening procedure goes something like this

sorry but you could buy a Haines manual from Halfords - that might tell you, or just pick up a new 2nd hand one from a scrappy
The rocker cover has about 8-10 bolts holding it in place (usually a 10mm spanner), remove the bolts take off the cover and remove existing gasket and clean cover and top of head. Replace new gasket and fir cover back. Bear in mind when tightening bolts.tighten each one just a little then finally give them a good turn. When tightening them do the back then the front and then the left then the right and so on, to ensure equal pressure when tightening! Good luck!
no mend, got hot and warped. get new one with gasket. maybe head is warped.
just did this on my escort, £6 for the part and 10 min job
