Does anybody know where the idle switch for a Volvo V40 (2001) is? Can it be turned up to rev a little higher.

Answers:
Its controlled by your engine management ECU you cant adjust it SorryMick
sorry man there is no adjustment
All carburettors are now pre sealed so you are out of luck it is going to cost you a fortune to take it to a diagnostic tuner or a main dealer
no such animal
volvo has gone to an electrical idle switch controled by the on board computer sorry no manual adjustment
It is, if you are talking about a 240 Volvo. Not sure about the V40 though. If it is adjustable I suggest you leave it alone. Setting it to rev higher can damage the engine because the rpms will be too high on hard acceleration.
