Oil Change On 2002 VW Golf?
Answers:
I buy the parts needed myself, including the oil and take them to my local garage. They do the service and stamp my book for 1/3 of the price.
run the engine for 10 mins to heat up the oil, the get underneath and undo the little bolt on the smooth part of the engine, and let the oil flow into a bucket or washing up bowl, the find the oil filter and undo tht and take it off, when its all drained get new filter and rub a small bit of now oil around the little rubber bit and put it on where it came from and do it basically as hard as you can, unless ur superman, and on and the bolt you took off, there is probably a plastic washer on it which needs to be replaced, the do the bolt back up, then top up the oild on level groung, leave it to settle, then keep topping up untill the desired level is reached, if in doubt buy the Haynes manual for the car and it is easy as anything, all i know about cars has been from doing my own from these manuals, good luck and be careful with the oil it can get hot, and you might think its stupid running the engine for 10 mins but it loosens up all the oil, and for t he spark plugs just loosen off and put new ones in, check all the fluid levels and top up as you need to, brake pads and tyres
easy enough to do yourself, would recoomend Mobil 1 tho
