Car Hire?!?!?!?

Can an 18 year old driver, hire a car anywhere in the Uk, cos i'm really annoyed with the age restrictions.
I am allowed to drive my own car, so why can't i rent one, it is unfair and there really is no reason for it, is there?

No sorry must be over 21 yrs of age, know you are annoyed is becaucse there too many young driver under 21 are high rates with insurance companies that young driver drive like a joyrider or get killed with speed.
