How long do points stay on your drivers licence for ?
Answers:
They stay on your licence for 4 years but only counting for 'totting up' purposes for 3 years.
If you move house or change name after 4 years, when you get a new licence with the change on the points come off free of charge. If you just want them removed it costs money but I'm not sure how much.
I managed to get married or move every time I needed points to come off but I have 6 points now and no hope of moving or getting divorce!!

i think speeding ones are 3 yrsdriving offences of more seriousness can be on for longer i think.give your local magistrates court reception a call and ask.its what they get paid for.and if you paycommunity charge its a good way of getting something for your bills.
definatly 3 years if you go see a solicetor it can be reduced if you have a good reason such as health helping someone with mobility problem,s etc get my drift!!!

Generally five years for most offences. Again most offences are took into consideration for three years by the courts
I would think their in the UK that the motor vehicle division could give you that information. Here in on the east coast of the USA it is usually 3 years. You need to contact where ever it is in the UK that you got your license from and they can answer that question. If you have an international license then were ever you received it could answer your question.Good luck.
they count towards your 12 point total for 3 years but have to stay on your licence for 4 years then you can send your licence to the DVLA to have them removed at a cost of £19
