How much on average does a new clutch (plate) cost including fitting?

The plate itself is fairly cheap, but since you normally have to remove the transmission to fit it between the engine and the gear-box, you can be talking eight hours labour (or more) on some cars (though most less than this). It is therefore wise to also fit the clutch cover and the release bearing (and anything else in the same area that may need attention) whilst in there, hence pushing the cost up again.
I worked out a national fast fit's labour rate once to be £135.00 per hour and over eight hours plus cost of parts..phew!
Go to a clutch specialist, it'll be done quickly using all correct parts, cost will be competitive (ring round if unsure) and work will be guaranteed.
Whatever happens, you don't want to have it done again in six months time so have it done right first time.

It is a nightmare, clutch plates for my 1100cc BMW motorbike are about £70 but it is best to replace all the bits of the clutch which would cost around £250 otherwise as soon as you replace a clutch plate and put the engine back together something else would go.
It is a terrible job to go, the biggest expense is time and the final cost of the job is around £750 including complete clutch replacement and labour but it takes days to do. Good luck

as above ,jester ,,,the clutch is in three parts ,, ie ,
clutch plate , pressure plate ,, and thrust bearing ..or as commonly known ,, three part clutch assembly
and as the labour charge to fit one , is the same as to fit all three

fitting? the clutch comes in a kit . clutch plate, pressure plate, release bearing, and the pilot bearing. also a line up shaft. your make and model it will run you around 350 dollars not counting the labor.
