The MOT has nothing to do with the engine. You need to get it to the garage ASAP! The engine tuning is chip driven and so there's not a lot normal folk like us can do. If you continue to run the engine with out getting it sorted you'll end up really damaging it. I think a Peugeot garage charge about £35 for a diog + time spent.

Try this forum there are alot of tech heads here and they are always pleased to help, I have the GTI 180 and the answers have been spot on, My guess is you should take it back to the garage and give them a doing as peugot do get it wrong sometimes.
Ok i am not sure of the symptoms with yours but does the revs speed up from tick over. If it does then it sounds like the temperature sensor is u/s and giving your on board computer the wrong information The sensor cost about £15 Try that it is quite common with Peugot it is not that hard to fit either
