My care keeps dying on me at junctions i have replaced some pipes on the air flow that had holes in them so?

Sounds to me like you have a fuel regulator going out. It could also be an oxygen sensor. There are a number of things that can be causing this. fuel regulator can be expensive depending on the type of car it is. If you have a carburetor then I would suggest cleaning it really well and flushing all fuel lines. Good luck.
maybe a fuel problem in the carb get some card cleaner or petrol treatment and try that..if that dont work get it tuned maybe the timing is out on it.good luck but as they say its the joys of motoring.
could be fuel blockage or tickover too low what car is it ?? if you have a blockage in the fuel line this can cause it to die when the revs drop so get it checked all you need is for it to die on you just at the time some herb is not concentrating and bamm get it seen to asap for your own safety
it sounds like the idle engine valve needs replacing.
I had a problem like this with my 1972 Beetle, turned out to be air flow restriction in the down-pipe due to moisture in the air freezing and making the pipe very narrow.
Other times this has happened it's been because the idle jet is blocked in the carburetta - if you are able to get to it you probably just need to take out the idle (or slow running) jet and clear it - blow hard through it or use a fine needle to remove blockage. This is probably what a garage will do if you take it to them, it's not very difficult to do on most small cars. This is a few hour's work, a day if you're not sure what you're doing.
check your air filter and also clean out your throttle body so it can breathe.
IF YOUR CAR IS EQUIPPED WITH LOCK UP TORQUE CONVERTER IT MIGHT BE STICKING AFTER THE CAR GETS WARMED UP IF SO GET MANUAL 4 CAR UNHOOK IT PROBABLY 1 WIRE TO PULL OFF WILL STILL RUN
