How do I remove 'Economy mode active' in my peugeot 406 car stereo, when the engine is off.?

when I swith the engine off and leave the key on the radio also stops working. when I try to operate the radio ( ie when waiting for children in school) The words Economy Mode Active. is displayed. I have approached Peugeot dealers and all they want is for me to pay for diagnostics 60 pound an hour.
In summary, I just want to listen to the radio when Resting without running the engine continuosly.

you could rewire radio with permanent live feeds from battery or enter setup mode on dash? any half decent auto spark or mechanic could sort this £10-£25.
