Look on your local council's website, all the info you need should be there and you can also download and print off the application forms you need.

Cot you big money to be a Taxi driver, private hire driver

Know the streets! Don't rely on sat nav cause it's often wrong.
You have to know your local area extreemly well. Before you get a license you will have to sit a local knowlege test. the test will ask to & from questions which you will have to give every street on that particular journey, where you tun left or right etc. Then you will be given a list of buildings - pubs, clubs, churches, hotels etc. Your results will have to be tip top so study your area well ! Then apply to take a test with your local council . Always ask for The Hackney Carriage officer. You had an answer From someone who said you cant work from home - He was wrong, you can But you need (once you've passed your test) an Operaters license. Which you purchase from your Council on a yearly basis. If I can help any more then Contact me via E-mail davis.rick@btinternet .com. I am a taxi driver in Kent.
