Do you keep service intervals strictly when maintaining your car?

Answers:
I do. The car tells me when it is time to take it in for maintenance so I take it in. Easy.
once a year with the MOT
I keep service intervals normal, but I ride an ostrich to work. If I don't keep normal service intervals, it could die.

.and who wants a dead stinky ostrich lying around in the yard.who would I even call to get rid of it.
No. you can go a couple of thousand miles over and not worry
Yes, I do. This is necessary for my own safety. Also, it would make it easier to sell the car if it comes with a detailed and up-to-date service record.
Always.
Always Pads.
Yeah, I'm pretty tight on keeping a journal of all the maintenance and work we routinely do.
I do with my fuels and lubricants, the rest is on a as needed basis.
When I used to do my own then. It was a case of do it before it became due or caused a problem. These days I leave it to the garage and my mileage is very small so I tend to have a 1 year service every other year.
It doesn't have to be EXACTLY 10,000 miles or whatever. You can go a bit over occasionally. But if the car's under warranty, you need to get it done.

Similarly if ever try to sell the car, the maintenance records will come under scrutiny. If you consistently exceeded the service interval, it'll affect the value of the car.

A poorly maintained car is less valuable than a well maintained car. If the car's valuable, you need to maintain it.
Keep your nose out
my dads a mechanic and he said if its newish and its got good service history keep it up anytime within a couple of thousand miles is fine
if its not got a good history and runs fine every ten thousand get an inspection done with an oil change
he has a saying if it aint broke dont touch it
If your car is under warranty then you must stay within the tolerances set out in the owner manual to comply with the warranty stipulations. On an older car it is best to have it serviced at least once a year even if you do little mileage.
