What sort of vehicle do you drive/ride and why did you choose it?

VW Polo. Chose it because it was a special edition, had my name as a number plate, and liked the British racing Green Colour.

Chrysler 300 Hemi C. I choose it because of its great looks, powerful engine, and navigation system (I travel a lot).
Some good points:

Very comfortable seats-great for long rides
A/C and heat in back seat (for kids)
Some bad points:
Cost ($39,000)
23 mpg city, 17 highway-not the most gas efficient
Big body, hard to pull into parking spaces.
a corsa boring i know but it was given to me as a gift so it would have been rude to say actually i was thinking i would quite like a convertible mini
'93 Voyager. I didn't choose it, my parents handed it down to me. I don't like it since it eats up too much gas, but it does run very well for its age (I'm constantly maintaining it). If I had to choose my vehicle, I'd go with a hybrid sedan.
There are two vehicles in my household. One is a minivan, obtained to haul building materials (including 4' x 8' plywood sheets), it can also (with all the seats in) seat 7 people. This vehicle, with only the front seats installed but a mattress in the back, is used for long trips; one can nap in the back when not driving. It gets 20 MPG city and 24 on the highway.
The other vehicle is used to commute about 30 miles each way each day. It is a hybrid, and gets about 42 MPG. It replaced a sedan which got much worse gas mileage.
VW Golf -
Live near London and size was a factor - large enough to be seen on the road and small enough to park in all the small parking spaces.
It has tons of space when the back seats are folded down - I got a very large wooden garden table and four wood chairs in the back plus a passenger (safely).
Looks nice and drives beautifully, cruises great on the motorway.
Boyfriend is 6ft 2" and his head doesn't hit the roof when sitting in the car (even has clearance of about 2", this was hard to find)
Got a petrol but would go for a diesel if i did it again, been told the mileage is fantastic in the diesel version.
Great car - i love it.

Renault Laguna, the main reason I bought it was because it is very comfortable to sit in and drive. I have two kids so I can't afford anything too upmarket.

WHen you say "what sort of vehicle." you're asking for a general class of vehicle, not a specific model, aren't you?
Mine is a full size, front engine, rear drive, passenger car. (Mine is a Ford Crown Victoria if that's what you really want to know).
I like it because it has the size for comfortable driving, it has all the power needed for local driving (without being more powerful than a locomotive), yet it is NOT a gas-guzzler. I can carry passengers (and reasonable cargo) comfortably. And it has a relatively basic design - so it IS repairable when it needs work.
A Ford Mondeo 2 litre hatch back. It has cruise control , air conditioning, disc player and also it is very comfortable to drive long distances. I motor through France, Germany etc for holidays and it cruises at 80 to 90 MPH with ease and still returns 37 mpg over a 3 week holiday, Cruise control makes your sitting position more natural as you do not have your foot stuck on the accelerator mile after mile. I am 6 foot 5 inches tall and I have had 4 Mondeo's and think they are real value. Purchased at less than a year old from a ford dealer with full 2 year guarantee it is more than half the price when new. It is my car and not a company car.
I probably shouldn't answer this question because I don't have a car, but I've always wanted a Mini, an original one not a new version because they're horrific. It would have to be blue too. My brother has a red K reg Renault Clio and he bought it cheap but had to spend a small fortune improving it. He should have bought a more expensive car, but he likes to think he gets bargains. The fool.

1973 Ford Mustang Mach I and a 1972 Pontiac GTO. Nothing better than the muscle cars. No one else has anything like them on the road. Fast, sleek, and oozing with sex-appeal.
The Price, (for starters, as most cars with similar/same spec were about 2-3k more !)
The fact the boot space is large for a small car.
On test driving, it was nippy like my 1st old banger, an 1.3 X reg Fiesta (and I mean X at the END of the reg plate, not starting with X - that old !).
The fancy alien headlights were smart, and when I spotted a black coloured one on another dealers forecourt thought it looked even the bizz (all the other ones I had seen on the road were generally blue, a couple of reds and I even spotted a few greeny ones too).
It drives well too and ain't bad on petrol. Gets you from A to B (even if that is all the way from South East London to Sunderland and back again !!).
No other small car has a boot size like it (can fit a fully grown German Sheppard dog/ Bernese mountain dog quite comfortably in the boot).
Oh and fits into lots of lovely small spaces which comes in handy when trying to find parking at a Football match !!

I drive a pickup because I'm a man and we like to buy big toys and you need a truck to get them home.
Good points. It's a truck! I was in a rear end collision where a vehicle hit me. It totaled that '99 blazer and only dented my bumper.
Bad points. There isn't any. It's a TRUCK!
We have 2 vehicles in our household,
both Nissans. I work at a new car dealership and could drive pretty much anything I would like and I driva an 05 Altima.
It is a very nice car with lots of nice options, for a good price. I need the sedan because I have 2teenaged kids and a mother in law who travel with me on a regular basis. I have the 4 cyl and it has more power than my v6 3.0 dodge did.
The only downfall is that the fuel economy is not as good as some cars in its class. (I only drive a few miles to work so I really don't care)
My husband drives a frontier pick-up,
he commutes 45 miles away over a mountain to get to work. Since we live in the North East he needs 4x4 and prefers a standard transmission. He loves the way it rides and drives, he gets around great in the winter, the gas mileage is great for a 4x4 pickup and it is comfortable. His only problem with it is he wishes the back seat were a little bigger and the back door should open a little wider (he has an 03 and these have been improved on the 2007)
I drive a Datsun 240Z.A pure driving experience,great styling,not many on the road in the states.The drawbacks are occasional breakdowns(the car is 34 years old) and parts are sometimes a little hard to find.It's easy to service and gets ok mileage,about 22 highway and 17-18 city.Hard to beat for the cost.
I drive a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am Gt 4 door sedan. I choose this car because of the Leather seating, since thay are easy to slip in and out of the car. Having just had total arhroplasty of the right hip, I found it to difficult to get in and out of the car with the regular cloth seats, which I like just fine,but are just too "sticky" and cause pain to get in and out of the car. Many good points to this car, I like it well, the only drawbacks are:the Insurance is to high, being a sports car. and of curse better milage would be great to have on all cars as well as this one.
Jaguar XJR Supercharged.
Good points-very comfortable, looks professional and classy, most comfortable seats I ever sat in, goes like a stabbed rat, stupidly cheap insurance considering its performance, you could not feel road rage behind the wheel its so calm, double figure fuel consumption!
Bad points-feels like your driving a fruit machine when you look at the dashboard, boot is pointless even in a car that size, mine isn't LWB meaning the back is VERY small!! Oh and unless people know it's an XJR not XJ8 it looks like a grandads car!! Badge on back is the only difference visually.
Currently i drive a 97 Mustang but i plan to buy a Suburban i want to change it because its radiator broke and them suspension is too stiff!!
