Why does my ford mondeo make a noise when i steer to the left?
Answers:
If it's front wheel drive and the noise goes thump thump thump, it is the CV joint.
what kind of noise? it could just be the power steering belt winding, or it could be on it's way out
Split ball joint probably.
probably the right mudflap.
coz sum1 tampered with your brakes
i had this on my mondeo. it turned out to be
power steering fluid level low.
If it's a loud thump when you steer to the left it's probably because you hit the kerb.
it could be the bearing better get it checked out
right hand bearing.
Its a safety thing so I'd get it checked
about £60 inc.
If it sounds like a grasshopper calling for a mate it would be a wheel bearing on the way out.
For your safety get it checked out properly.
if its a repeating knocking sound check it could be the driveshaft also or one of the cv joints
what sort of noise?
could be
CV joint
Wheel Bearing
PowerSteering (Low Level?)
Steering Rack
because u have steered into a wall?
no really it depends on what kind of noise.
A knock will be a drive shaft, a whine is usually a wheel bearing, if it sings then Madonna set up home there and is profusely squatting! Probably going to be the drive shaft clunking though, not too difficult to fix and not normally that necessary, they'll go for longer thant the car like that, but if it does shear, you could end up just about anywhere!!
EITHER A DRIVESHAFT OR BEARING OR CV JOINT WORN OUT REPLACE THEM IN PAIRS
this has got to be a worn c.v. joint.if it happened steering left and right it would be to do with your power steering,ie,low steering fluid, noisey steering pump, straining harder on lock to lock etc.the noise you should be hearing for a worn c.v.is going to be mild, fast, clunking type noise.try driving around in a circle on full lock,no need to drive fast.
