How do you fit a camshaft sensor to a vauxhall astra sports.1998 16v petrol.?

remove air box and ducting; remove cambelt cover ;sensor is located just under cam pulleys remove and refit in opposite order ensure you don't catch the wire when refitting the cambelt cover
Disconnect the multi plug from sensor. Remove the top timing casing, sensor is located below cam shaft pulleys. Remove torax screw and remove sensor. Refit new sensor, apply lock-lite to bolt threads to stop them coming out and refit top timing casing and re-connect the multi plug. If diagnostic light was burning due to faulty sensor it should now have reset automatically.
