What car do you recommend for a woman, just passed her test, has 4 kids who all have after school activities?

Must be an MPV, good on fuel, Cheap to tax and insure would be good too.

Thanks for any advice.

In the UK I'd suggest a Vauxhall Zafira (Diesel).

It can carry up to seven people comfortably, but is roughly the size of an estate car, so no more difficult to drive.

The rear 2 seats fold down into the floorspace when not being used, giving you a large interior space when the extra seats are not needed.

My partner can drive it with no problems, and I can get seven of our (adult) football team in there (+ kit bags) with no problems.

Make sure you get a 1.8 or 2.0 litre though as the 1.6 struggles a bit when fully laden.
great. another soccer mom.
honda element. i guess. those are cool. plenty of space.
a bus ?? lol
Bicycles!!
Get a Mazda MPV minivan. It's strong and reliable. I have a 1995 one and it works perfectly with minimum maintenance.

DO NOT get an SUV!! You'll have to take out a loan to fill up on gas.
Just get a massive 4 wheel drive that you won't be able to handle like every other school Mum
renault scenic
hyundai.
How about a Kia Sedona, there pretty cheap and lots of room
i think u shud get a NAZA RIA mpv..
A CAR MADE OUT OF CLAY SO WHEN YOU CRASH INTO THE GUY NEXT TO YOU OR N FRONT OF YOU OR WHEN YOU HIT A SWEET DARLING SOCCOR KID YOU CAN JUST SMOOTH IT OUT ARE YOU A SOCCOR MOM MILF
Boring answer but a renault megane scenic does the trick for our tribe and my wife has'nt managed to prang it yet!
Peugeot 307s are alright and the best of a bad bunch (ie people-carriers) if you really must have one. Just remember: most people (both men and women) who drive these things can't park straight, clag up the roads and try to force oncoming traffic off the road at every given opportunity. Please don't become one of these!!
Wouldn't it be more economical though to get something like an Astra, especially as you're a new driver, and get brand new bikes for the children? Would save you money and keep them fit! Obviously they couldn't always use their bikes, especially if they had lots of bags and books to bring home, but would do them a big favour :-)
Have a look at the Ford Fusion (UK car, not the US thing) - It's based on the Fiesta (2003 onwards) and is an excellent car - The press slated them, but they are a really good car, economical, reliable and suprisingly spacious. Plenty of room for kids and stuff. Comes in both petrol and diesel variants.

Worth a look.
you could try the renault senic, or the vauxhall zaphira
a diesal vauxhall zafria 7 seats not to big you could put a roof box on the roof for extra boot space.kia also do a 7 seater cheap to buy and popular.if you need something cheap try a fiat doblo 7 seater diesal.its based on a van a bit ugly but cheap to run.ford galaxy vw sharan or the seat version all share the same floor pan good hunting
Try a KIA they are very easy to drive and are economical to buy and run.
depends how old are you?!
vauxhall zafira, drive just like a normal car they are not enormous and the 2 folding rear seats makes them very versatile.
they have been around for a while so be choosey and avoid the hammered mobility/school run cars
