What are the tyre pressures for a 1978 series 3 landrover?

Answers:
The owners manual will tell you what Land Rover Recomends and the tire may also have specs printed on the side, make sure if you are reading the side of the tire it is not the "seating pressure" It is probably going to be in the neighborhood of 35-45 psi. If you ue the thing off-road you can also air the tires down to around 15 psi for better traction, but be sure you have a way to inflate them back up before driving on the pavement. I would start at 40 psi and see how it feels.
35 pounds if they are the same size
Just another answer , i have a 98 defender , and having just run down the garden to check the scrap of paper given to me when i bought it ,asuming you have standard wheels and tyres
