MGF sellers or owners..?

Whichever onr you buy - beware. These cars are put together with spit & bluetack!!
They are prone to overhead gasket failure due to a lack of coolant (there is an after market part that can be fitted from Gammon & Brown at about £90).
The electric windows in the TF will fail due to the worm gear in the motor chewing the regulator cog to pieces (cheap rubbish fitted by MG)- replacement will cost £300 from Rover dealer but cheaper ones can be found, and finally they leak like a colander.
Having said all that, I loved my TF and only got rid cos I needed a 4 seater.
If you do buy one, I have a spare wheel & tyre, hardtop & cover for sale.
Don't do it. The residual value has dropped through the floor. Get an MX-5 instead.
But if you're dead set on one - DON'T BUY FROM EBAY - get one privately with a FULL SERVICE HISTORY or buy through a main dealer and ensure you get a good warranty.
For average prices check out www.autotrader.co.uk or invest in a Parker's Guide.
