How much would it cost to replace front wheel bearings on a vauxhall vectra and what are the symptoms?
Answers:
the bearings are about 20 pounds each an then you have to get a garage to fit them roughly 80 pounds labour. The symtoms are a humming sound from the front the faster you go the louder it gets
THE SYMPTOMS WOULD BE LIKEA HUMMING NOISE
THE COST TO REPAIR THEM YOURSELF WOULD BE ABOUT 30-40 POUNDS IF YOU PUT IT IN A GARAGE IT SOULD COST ANYTHING IN THE 100 POUND MARK.

I agree with the other answer. You would most likely hear a howling noise comming from the wheels when traveling. Replace soon for this could be a big problem if the bearings fall out. :)
jack up car put hand at top & bottom of wheel & see if it moves when you move your hands back & forward, you could also have abnormal wear on your tyres.
Make sure car is safe before you do it though
If its a knocking sound when your turning a corner its your CV joint
As for the cost .. anything from £30 upwards
Jack u[p the car check for sidewya and up/down movement, then spin the wheel. You are checking for excessive movement and noise when the wheel is spinning.

Obscure steering !! £ 100.00 each side ! If you dont fix it you will have a collision !
humming or droning noise when in motion, try vauxhallspares .com for prices, but generally about £30 each side and half a day to do it on the loor or if you are lucky enough to know someone with a four poster lift 2 hours, dont for get a long handled socket bar or torque wrench to crack the bearing nut, good luck.
