Just realised my driving licence was due for renewal in January this year, will I be able to renew it okay?
Answers:
Depending on your state, they may charge you a bit of a fine, or make you take the test again. But not to worry, just go in and tell them you are expired.
Oh, and give them your correct address. Obviously you moved or they would have sent a notice in the mail in advance.
surely then you have been driving around for 7 months with no licence..?
you can still renew it, dont get caught by the police.
Go buy the licence and stop fretting, mavourneen. It's a technical offence but personal driving licences do not have to be concurrent.
You are covered by insurance if "you hold a licence, or having held a licence are not disqualified from holding one"
dont worry itll be fine, but dont drive till you sort it.
oh yes sure why not
Im not sure how Northern Ireland is. Some places are different. Here in Alabama though if you are suppose to renew in January its fine if your late. Just a risk of getting pulled over and getting a ticket. However, if the licenses goes 3 yrs. being expired the person has to retest. Just don't fret and get to the DMV soon as possible and get it taken care of. Hope this is helpful.
