Where can I get performance driver training in scotland?

Answers:
you could always ask the police, I'm sure they will have details of advanced driving courses. in your area. If not, they might surge st some one or where, that can give you the details.
I am not in Scotland me laddie, but I can give you a pointer or two.
Find a lonely place and practice fast take off's. At first it will throw you back into your seat. When you become proficient, you will be able to hold your position with no trouble under rapid accelrationj.
It is a matter of experiencing the forces you are subjected to.
Next find a wide open space with dirt preferably and Accelerate to about 35 mph and hit the brakes and crank the wheel to the right. then take your foot off of the brake and crank the wheel to the left to come out of the skid. Learn this first by practicing and then try the opposite, by cranking the wheel to the left to intitiate the skid and correct by turning the wheel to the right.
It is all a matter of practice and no one can teach you the feelings you must learn for yourself. You must become "One" with your car. It is an extension of your faculties and you must use it as such.
While still on dirt practice a few burn outs by presssomg the pedal to the metal a few times. Then when the feeling is just right. Burn out and crank the wheel to the right or the left to make the rear end cut a brodie. and then correct. and keep going.
Always turn the wheel in the opposite direction to the skid and you can come out of any skid.
You can do it man, just takes practice.
jarhead.
PS> If I could do it with a 6 ton Armored scout car, you can do it with a hot car. Oh yess. When turning on to a dirt road from a paved road, you can avoid a skid by turning sharper than necessary and when you hit the dirt, back of a touch and your forces will be throwing you in the opposite direction of a posslible skid. It is over kill then back off that keeps you stable. remember everytime you turn, your forces go in the opposite direction.
I would contact the Knock-hill racing circuit and they should be able to put you in contact with a person or organisation who do this sort of thing. The other people you could try are the R.A.C. motor sports division as they are the governing body for motor sport in the U.K.
