Citrone birlingo, why does my air bag light on the dash board keep flashing!!?? ..thanks :)?

There will be a plug under the seat ie if you only have one airbag there will be a plug under the drivers seat, if you have 2 there will be one under each front seat. Unplug them, spray some WD40 into the plugs and sockets, leave for about 15 mins, plug back in and your light should stop flashing. The plug goes to a sensor which lets the airbag know if someone is sitting in the seat so it can arm itself, if the signal gets interupted the airbag warning light comes on. Its a very common fault. Hope this helps.
u need to check ur fuses, as usually a sign of a loose 1 or ur airbag has been disrupted xxx check all your lights on outside of car and blowers r ok and wipers etc, that way u can eliminate the fuses or bulbs that need changing, if this fails to rectify it id get it checked at a dealers, they run a computer scan to identify problem, if its theres they pay, if its urs you pay, so check all first gl xxx
An air bag light flashing on the dash is showing you that there is a fault with the system and you need to take it to a citreon dealer or specialist for a diagnostic check otherwise in the event of a accident the airbag may not deploy or on the other hand could deploy when not required also causing you to have an accident.

Ref Sams answer - when the airbag warning lamp is on the system has noted a fault and shut down the system, in the event of an accident the air bag may not deploy. There has never been a case reported in europe or america of an airbag deploying when it is not needed.

Electrics always fail or at least loose on all Citroens. They are poor quality build that is why they are so cheap.
Used to have a problem with a Renault a few years back, dealer couldn't sort it out for months. Re wiring a car is a huge job and they tried to do everything to get out of doing it under warranty.

It flashes because it keeps being intermittently obscured by the airbag that has exploded from the centre of your steering wheel. Check again; it's a big, soft cushiony thing in front of you. Think back; remember a big bang and lots of hot dust around you. Too busy talking on your phone I expect ;-)
there is a fault in the ecu this needs to be cheacked out befor the damp thing blows in you face trust me on this
you will find that the wiring is under front seat try bringing your front passenger seat forward and you may find that it will go out it happens with my car and if i move front seat forward it will go out
