Which car would win in a race 2006 BMW M5 or 1999 Lancer Evo 6??
Answers:
Well, standard would mean with the speed limiter on, which caps the m5 at 155. take it off and it'll do 206mph, and crush the evo (accellerates faster too and has similar handling even though it's heavier)
If you're actually thinking of buying one, the m5 if you can afford it as it's a luxury car too, fast and practical. but you could get probably 4 1999 evo's for the price.
Don't touch an old esprit with a bargepole, it's the car that gave lotus its acronym:

Usually
Serious.
evo..no question
a robin reliant would beat both
Neither would finish if my mother-in-law were driving.
CRASH BOOM!
Stock?
Id take the M5
7 year old Evo 6 turbos? FTL---
over what distance? what circuit??
well i just look up the specs its hard to say the evo puts out 300hp and its half the sizebut yet the bmw puts out 500hp and its big if i had to guess i say the bmw
Go for the EVO, it sounds and looks better than the bravarian beast
Depends who's driving and what kind of course it's on.
The M5 is one hell of a car with almost twice the power of the older Evo. The Evo is also geared with a lower top speed, so if you have a long high speed section the Evo is in trouble.
I'm off to try both cars (unmodified) on GT4 and see which is the fastest.
I know it's only a video game and it was last years M5, but it beat the Evo 6 on 2 different courses.
I also looked on the Top Gear website at the Stigs power laps and the M5 did it in 1:26.2 seconds whereas the newer Evo 8 only managed 1:28.9 seconds.
On a motorway the Evo wouldn't stand a chance.
My dosh would be on the M5
I would wait for the 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06.
For about the same price as the BMW, the Vette has 600 horsepower. It would smoke both of them
i'd prefer an R34 skyline Vspec with about 350bhp
on a motorway the M5 on a track then the EVO definately
