Sticky accelerator pedal on suzuki swift gls 1997, Help?
Is it something i can sort out myself, i do alot of work myself at home on my cars.
When driving the throttle pedal sticks abit if you put down or take foot of the pedal slightly. 66 thou miles.
Please no advice about how dangerous it is about doing work at home.

This is usually a pretty simple fix.
Find some oil (WD40 works great) and spray all the linkage joints
start at the pedel and work your way up into the engine compartment (if you cant find the linkage in the engine compartment have a friend sit in the drivers seat and have them push on the pedel, you should see it moveing) after you have sprayed all the linkage down push on the pedal 15 or 20 times to loosen it up and see if it worked

If it is sticking when you first push the pedal you need to clean the throttle plate. Choke cleaner works great.
probably just the cable sticking..wd40 it n c if it helps..do it from the pedal ( inc hinge part on pedal jst incase) thn work ur way up to carb..cable ends at carb jst under the airbox on a hinged mechanism.give tht bit a gd spray as tht is the most likely bit.p.s. my bro's swift jst went on fire as he was driving around..problem with wires behind the fusebox rubbing against metal gd job he's a fast runner lol take a look jst incase( he hadnt messed with it so was like tht from factory) thts the only probs i really know of with this car gd luck
wd 40 on the pivet on the pedle box and take cable off & spay wd 40 down the cable
if that does not work get a new cable not hard to replace if your hany with cars
