Has anyone done Pass Plus?
I wanted to do the pass plus and I did , but the instrustor was really terrible , I really felt like giving him one big punch, anyway I stoped doing pass plus and decided, just to get a car and do the insurance
I got a car now with a couple of free days insurance , so I went and phoned up other companies , to give me a insurance quate and they were so so high, they even said me doing the pass plus is going to cost me less which is true
so I phoned up now for , a instuctor to do a pass plus , and im only doing this for the sake of insurance other wise my driveing is so fantasic and I dont really need any skills plus i passed first time,
I m just so , worried about the instructor , I just dont want him to be
so bad or terrible like the one I got before , so have you ever heard of any good sensible pass plus instrutors
cause im really worried ,

I’m hoping to do my Pass Plus with the DI that’s teaching me to drive at the moment. When I pass my test, hopefully.
Ask around for recommendations or phone around?
I believe it's a very good one to take, I hope you are successful soon
mine was fine, like anything in life you always have an idiot or 2 who are a**eholes. explain to the new instructor what the old one was like and he will most probably be fine cos most instructors are in compition with each other. good luck
done pass plus.
Its just like a driving lesson but they teach you what to do in situations ie fog
I did mine and all of the situations happened fog and ice.
Its good for this and quote the number on you certificate will get you cheaper insurance
The money that you will save by doing the pass plus is about the same as 1 years no-claims discount. The pass plus itself will cost about the same as the amount you save on the insurance (unless you use BSM then it will cost a lot more).
So in terms of saving money it is a bit pointless but may help you improve your driving skills.
Saying that however, you only start to learn how to drive after you've passed your test.
Do pass plus and then www.confused.com it will save you a bundle in money.
I'm 40, with 23 years of multi-vehicle, (including some really fast cars) high-mileage, clean-licence, accident-free driving behind me, in many countries, on roads, rally stages, and race-tracks. MY driving is fantastic. Yours has let you pass your basic test. I don't want to worry you, but I still have lessons to learn, and many of my friends who 'passed first time' went on to have accidents soon thereafter. And some of them aren't here today, either. So do your pass-plus, if you're so good, there will be nothing bad for the instructor to criticise. And when they do correct you, they are only doing it to try to keep you, and others, alive.
Enjoy your driving. Be safe. Never get cocky.
Suck up and deal with the instructor. The goal is to pass and lower your insurance rates, not to become mates with the instructor or even admit that he's human.
Taking your pass plus is excellent for experience however it is unlikely you will save any money on insurance. After much research for my son we found swiftcover.com to be very competitive.
oh yes sure why not
Ask around your friends, see if they can recommend anyone, change instructors if you are not happy, it is your money. Try www.dsa.gov for pass plus registered instructors.
Do the course with a positive attitude, everyone can improve their driving skills no matter how good a driver they may consider themselves to be. good luck
Yes. Do Pass Plus. It will save you loads of money, and increase your driving skills.
Not all instructors are registered to teach pass plus, so it would be a question of ringing round to find out. The DSA database of Pass Plus instructors is no longer active, so ring around or ask someone to recommend an instructor to you.
Hi, Pass plus can be completed up to 2 years after you pass your test & most insurers will give you a 30% discount off your first insurance policy subject to you having this certificate.
(30% is the equivalent to 1 years no claims bonus)
If your looking for a cheap quote try www.expressinsurance.co.uk, they do specialise in new drivers & accept pass plus.
Good luck
