Can you barter at these new massive car supermarkets. are they a good place to buy?

I brought my beautiful DAISY from car Giant . but watch out . you will get much less than what you hoped for if you part exchange ..
and yes .. i got them down £500.00 and they changed the front tyres too !
You mean like Carmax? No you cannot barter. The prices are as low as they will sell a car for. Carmax is a great place to buy a car from, they don't accept any vehicle that has been wrecked and they do a thourough mechanical inspection. Hence, they do not need to drop prices to sell cars.
I always try to get a discount. If they dont want my business, i walk away.There are plenty of cars for sale and they need your custom. The salesman will love you if you give them what they ask. Bear in mind though that the cheapest deal is not always the best. Does the garage have a good after sales service.

Car Supermarkets are really selling finance. The car is just the free gift!. The cars are usually the ones that dealers wont take or repo's. I use the them to scope out different models but if you look closely they nearly all have bit missing.. cig lighters, ash tray covers, bits of door handles. They are the bits that are hard to replace and tend to be expensive.
One answerer commented on tyres. any good garage will always sell the car with good tyres.
The other problem you can have is warranty. They will swap bits from another car.. they have such a large stock. are you buying the car with all the "bad" bits.
I wouldnt buy from them. Go to a local company that has been trading for sometime or ask a friend who knows cars to go with you to look at cars on autotrader, ebay etc.
you can try and barter with them but normally you get offered a non negotiable price for your trade in and pay difference between that and whats on the screen of the car you want.
one of the big places near me is offering 4 years 0% finance at the minute so times must be hard.
yes you can barter there,and get a really good deal.
