How many miles do u get when your fuel ight comes on?
Answers:
The light usually comes on with about 5 litres left.
Next time you fill up, zero your trip meter.
The time after that, note the number of miles travelled between the fills, divide by the number of litres it takes to fill the tank, and multiply by 5 - that's approximately how many miles you can do.
But remember that the mileage of a car can be halved by a different form of driving, (stop-start traffic gives poor mileage in most cars, as does high speed - medium speed cruising is more economical) so be cautious.
Depends on the car - I can get at least another 5 miles out of mine - but I wouldn't test it completely
I drive a Ford Fiesta. It has an onboard computer which tells you exactly how many miles you can travel with the available fuel. It comes on at exactly 50 miles left in the tank.
However there is a wide range of variabilty betwen make and model and age of vehicle.
I believe that it all depends on the car. I get about 32 miles after the light comes on.
It should say in the users manual how many gallons are left when the feul light comes on.
I know that mine comes on when there is a little over 2 gallons left, which is about 60 miles.
Ive actually got 8 mile out of mine, but after past experience, i would suggest filling up as soon as it comes on to avoid embarrassment!
depends on the car, but you should get at least 20 to 30 miles
enough to get you to where ever you'll be when you run out
around 30 in my vectra
an average of 20 miles usually.
ok it does depend on the car but my husband's car, gets up to 15 miles when the light comes on.
Driving carefully I get at least 50 miles in my skoda. It has a 40 lt tank and when I went to fill it up it took 42 lt !
Try a search on the internet to see if someone has the info for all cars.
about 40 in my laguna diesel
i get around 20 miles on my car
You could try carrying a spare can of fuel with you and letting it run out if you really need to be sure, but why on earth would you deliberately let it get so low?
