Squeaky Corsa!?

I have a 2001 Vauxhall Corsa which has developed a squeak on the front passenger side, it appears to come from that wheel, I was under the impression that it was due to brakes binding but it has been checked and apparently it isn't, anti squeak compound was used and the problem temporarily went away. The squeak dissappears if the steering is slightly to the left or right. Its very annoying so any ideas on how to get rid of it would be great! Cheers!

Answers:
might be your steering components** or shock absorbers. get it re-checked before it gets worse!

**corsa's are known for steering/handling problems.
apparently you are not he only one experiencing this problem. The corsas shape causes more squeaks than any other car on the market.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Vauxhaul.

Try wearing your ipod whilst driving or turning your stereo up really loud.. made my squeeking go away!
On Top Gear, they said the Vauxhall Corsa is bought by people who know absolutely nothing about cars.

I rest my case.
Sounds as if you have wear on your wheel bearings thats why when you move the steering from L/R the noise goes. The bearing end float should be checked and if excessive replaced.Mick
