i did about 145 mph in my mercury moutaineer . it has a v8 5.0 i was in the moutains of north carolina . boy did that ticket cost me . the cop wanted to take me to jail but i was the only person on that road . so he couldnt say i could have killed someone. he radared me from a small overpass.

I don't know exactly but I buried the speedometer on a 1969 Mustang fastback with a 428 Cobra engine. I know when I went to brake I had immediate brake fade from heat. It was one of those stupid moments in life! I'd like to see the Mercury Mountaineer that did 145! That's a bit far stretched for my ears! Must have had a Chevy pulling from the front!
