I wouldI would like to make a 12volt motor from with a differential clutch, ideas?

Hmmm interesting stuff, but like you I have no idea!
Two cheap 12v drills, why bother about a diff tho? Maybe drive the wheels directly.
Not many 12 volt motors strong enough to push weight. Not many 12 volt motors with enough cooling fins Clarke Lift truck motors 24 / 36 volt would put out instant torque and 40 hp. Many years ago before electronic controls for smooth power there was the VOLTS WAGON
12v umm well first u need 2 know the ratio od the drive over the driven that will give u hp or torque then you will modified the spider gear or side gears and carefull with your backlash
Try wheelchair - 'scooter ' - repairers and try looking up 'Robot Wars' sites on the web they often have ex - wheelchair motors for sale.
I take it you have plenty of time to get where you are going as about 8mph is the top speed for this sort of thing?
