Has anybody got a peugeot 207 ( the new one)?
are they worth looking at? are they any better than the 206?

OK, no I don't but I know a few facts. At the plant in the UK where the 206 is built.they currently have the best customer feedback and quality results in the whole of Peugeot. Unfortunately they are closing it down to build the 207 in the Slovakia, they will pay people £80.00 per week and the quality will suffer. Some will built in France but only a minority
They are about the same size as the old 306, they weigh 250KG more than a 206. Any new model will have teething problems. Eight years after the 206 was built improvements are still made on a monthly basis. Whatever car you buy wait until the model is a year or more in production, some faults will not surface untill then and you don't want to be driving the one whose brakes fail after 8 months use (dramatic but you get the point).
In summary, yes the 207 will be safer, quieter more refined but it will made cheaper, heavier, slower and cost more and be worse on fuel (engines are the same as the 206). Also th 206 will be a bargain soon choose the 1.6 HDI, 110 horsepower more torque than the GTI 180 and 60mpg.
no I dont have one yet as going to Ireland in August with my ford galaxy as it is spacious but when i return i am going to buy a 307 as my daughter is just starting driving lessons and we are going to share the car, and everybody is talking about them economical, insurance low etc, good all rounder
