Taxi driving course - although doing the knowledge takes a long time if you do it part time. LGV would probably be the quicker option but I think taxi driving would be more enjoyable with more variety and, if you work for yourself, you can pick and chose your hours. Good luck.
To be honest it would depend what you interests you more.

If you would like to meet lots of interesting people and know all the routes to everywhere, the the taxi course is for you, otherwise do the other one.

Good luck with which ever one you decide to do.
I have no bloody idea but I would like to congratulate you on being 21, having saved money and having plan. Fantastic xxx
At 21 you should go for LGV it allows you to travel and doesn't limit you to your home town .

A friend of mine used to drive from Manchester to all over Europe and usually once he had delivered his cargo he was paid to hang around and take in the sights for a week until a cargo was found for him to return with ,

PS one day he found a place he liked so much in the south of France he never came back .
Taxi driving course will be a better option
short term taxi long term lgv
Think about the costs after you have completed the coarse.how much will a 21 yr olds insurance be. my hubby is 33 and his was about £2000. then theres all the other costs, licence plates, mot test x 2, keeping the taxi maintained..LGV.will you be the operator or working for someone else? My hubby did the LGV but couldn't pass the test.I wish he had as his income would have been more regular.
LGV, not many insurance company's will give people under 25 any cover for taxi driving and the ones that will cover you will charge astronomical prices
If you want to earn money then in the long run your LGV would benefit you ! My freind is a taxi driver and fair enogh the compant he workes for paid for him to get his hackney carriage licence etc, but he hates the job. Its up to you my friend, what job would you prefer ?
Go for you lgv, more money less grief from all those pissed up louts on the weekends, and you don't have to clean up either.
Go and get a cpcs telehandler forklift ticket and look for work in construction or other cpcs courses on machines (diggers, jcb 180,360,cranes,etc).You can get ticket for less than £1000. They pay around £10 - £15per hour. Day shift job 8-5 and home every night, wouldn't bother with hgv for 5-7 per hour, out all day and night on gridlocked road and taxi drivers are either on the fiddle or are getting stabbed for money or people doing runners
