Where can I get a replacement key for a 98 ford fiesta? Will need immobiliser tag too.?

Bought a 98 ford fiesta at the weekend but the key is mangled and I would like to get a replacement. It needs to be the one with the immobiliser attached as the car won't start without it. Have mailed FORD but they have yet to answer.

Answers:
This will probably cost you a fortune. If you still have one good key, use it, but get it copied, just a plain key without the immobiliser chip. You then tie it together with the mangled immobiliser key. That way if you lose your good key, you can just hold the immobiliser next to the ordinary key in the ignition to start the car.

I know this from personal experience, only got one key with a 2nd hand car. It snapped in the lock, got a standard key cut and now use the end of the immobiliser key with the standard key to start the car. Works a treat and saved a fortune.

Other than that, you'll need to contact a ford dealership.
Try a ford dealership parts counter.
get a new set of locks for around £50 with keys, the immobiliser can be bypassed.
you will have to go to the dealer and have a new key made and have it programed to the car
Try :

I hope this helps.
