Where does one get an International Driving Licence in the UK?

I need to drive in South Africa.

Answers:
check with the DVLA in the UK and with the South African embassy, they will give you all the information you require. also don't forget to check with your insurance company to check that you will be insured to drive abroad.
you just use your regular one.
the new(pink photo) licence is international
Get a photocard license. That's the main deal.

In the old days, you could go into an AA shop and they would give you a paper thing that said "international driving license" on the front. It was something of a chocolate teapot. I don't know if they still do that now that we have licenses that look like everyone elses (i.e. photocards).
from any main postoffice
Go to this site m8, it tells you where to get one

I sent off for one from the AA
