My Renault Scenic won't start?
This week it did the same again, only this time it won't even start in neutral. I've tried to locate the starter motor, just to check it's not a problem with that, and it is well hidden. My manual has a really tricky procedure for removing it, so I'd rather not if I can help it. At the moment though I want to test the circuit, to check if it is a dodgy connection, but unless I can get to the solenoid I don't think I can. Perhaps that isn't it either.
Anyone experienced the same problem?
Answers:
Sounds like a loose connection somewhere.
How old is your battery? Could just be needing a new one. Check the date on it, even maintenance free batteries require replacement - usually every 4 - 5 years.
might sound like a daft questoin but have you tried checking the key fob it could be a fault with the immobiliser and it wont start if thats faulty.
Its French, thats whats wrong with it.

I hope this helps.
hi it could be the ignition packs, these are about £80 each,in the old days each plug had leads from the plugs to the coil,in this day and age each plug has a separate ignition unit on it,these are very large unit with a wire going into the top of them the unit sits on top of the plug this then completes the electrical circuit,i think it is a common problem because when i rang renault they had 205 in stock, good luck
