Govt. vs Private Airlines?

Answers:
Like all government run companies, most government owned and operated airlines of the world have gone belly-up.

The simple fact is that any government makes for a lousy entrepreneur. I really cannot think of a successfull government run business.

Yes, many a private airline has also gone bye-bye, but several, including Southwest and Jet Blue are really doing just fine.

So for my money, I'd go with private any day.
Yea, so, what is your question?
All so called private airlines are dictated on how to run by the Government. Do you really think you'd have to do the sock hop and be searched if the airlines had anything to say about it. You would be able to load and unload like right away and no more delays. All air traffic control should be turned over to the airlines and the fuel savings alone would be enormous. Just remember what happened when Ma Bell lost her grip on the regulated phone business.
In process now of building an Air Carrier Service , and the question seems to me to be that of a hidden nature ! The private sector can assist with out gov. assistence, but why should I cut off my nose despite my face when they are the authority I must answer to any way. But becoming dependant also has its down size depending upon the Acft. / partnerships / contracts . The real question is this, and please respond to the statement. Is the Airline Part 135 or 121 ? Many of things that are of different nature, and rules to follow, as well as to comply with by FARS. DOT. FAA etc. Gov. can guarentee as well as destroy, dependence upon the conditions stated above can be good and bad depending upon who's running the bus. end and how dependent you become on assistence. I would prefer the private sector and bring about change, but people really don't care until the mighty $ speaks out. Service is truely a different concept / providing it comes from within , not a reduction in prices or education. Serving money is a dead end, whether or not the Gov. pays for it or the Corp. sector does. Its about, to me doing that which I was created for serving the customers who love to fly and that need that service. The real answer I hope is to share as I provide such services, I believe its both with the right proportions and my instinct through the education process I've learned. Both wish to squash / steal my instincts vs. assist. This means to me no one is willing to continue to learn from the mentors before me who passed on the aviators way of not being a servent of $ / greed or power. But a servent of the love and passion of flight which serves us and our needs that are constantly changing with conditions just like in flight. The first rule is to fly the acft.
Airbus vs. Boeing?? I do believe Airbus is having a difficult time right now, while Boeing is racking up the orders.
