This happens when one of the doors are not closed properly, try slamming all the doors and boot shut properly and that should fix it, if not then it may be one of your door sensors.
A common problem with the Mondeo. remote fob is not the problem. It's probably one of the sensors in the door locking system, or under the bonnet at the front left hand corner, which is the bonnet closed or open sensor. try manual locking and unlocking several times also, as this sometimes sorts it.
I work at Ford UK product development. It's most likey to happen because one of the front doors is not locking. Try using the key fob from inside the car and observe the internal door handles. If one (or more) is not moving, get your door(s) fixed.
As bindesh says , probably one of the doors not closed properly.
Either one of your doors or boot is not shut properly or one of the door sensors have packed up
Car key fobs have gremlins fitted as standard - Stick with the key.
