Does anyone know how I can change over my aussie drivers license.?
Help.
Answers:
Yep - I did it.
You have a choice - send off your passport and your driver's license and ID or go to one of the designated DVLA offices that can check your passport and application while you wait. I went to Nottingham as the closest one to me, as I am paranoid about letting go of my passport - especially in the ordinary mail.
The only catch is that they don't issue it right away - they post it to you and it can take about 10 days I think. You need to start moving on this if you only have 2 weeks left on it.
You can pick up the form you will need from any post office.
I tried to get you the link to the DVLA but for some reason the link keeps crashing my IE.
You do not need to take a test - they will just issue you with a UK license - they do take your aussie one though, as you are not meant to have 2 valid licenses.
You can get an international driver's license. Go to the German equivalent of the Department of Motor Vehicles office or your embassy and enquire there.
This link will help you.

To to the Automobile Association, they should be able to help you out. Or, they'll be able to point you in the right direction. Good luck!
dunno
You can use your Aussie DL for one year as a visitor, then you must pass the UK test, awesome my old dingo friend.
Turn it upside down.

Forget the IDP, it's worthless once your Aussie license expires -- and is never valid in the country where it's issued.
yes, go to the department of public saftey.
