What's the cost of a subway(underground) ticket in tokio?

Answers:
The Japanese are a proud race, with an excellent education system. From this the extensive underground and rail network exists. Therefore they have a policy in Tokyo that only people who can spell are allowed to use it.
they dont let people use it if they cant spell..
Tokyo uses a zonal payment system, not unlike the London Underground, so it depends how far you want to travel and which line you want to travel on. My daily average journey cost me 500 Yen each way which was about the eqivalent of £5, but this was a couple of years ago (2004).. Hope this helps!!
An all day Metro ticket is currently 710 Yen (£3.16) Adult, 360 Yen (£1.60) Child (under 12 years old).

Single fares range from 160 to 300 Yen (71p to £1.34) depending on the distance travelled.
