this is called hunting, it can be anything from a service to replacing the carburetor or injectors
you need some one to sort this like the AA or a mobile mechanic before you move it as this could be dangerous cutting out on a roundabout
Might be the "idle control switch or module"
Stop putting your foot on the gas then taking it off!
TPS throttle position sensor/switch. try that, its fairly cheap and you can get it at your local auto stores pep boys, auto zone, etc.
its worth a try, Good Luck
This sounds like the idle air control valve is dirty. This is a simple repair. All you do is remove the valve and spray it with throttle body cleaner until it is clean. You must not use Carbuerator cleaner as it is too aggressive and can damage the throttle body. It probably takes about 10 minutes to do.
You should take it to a service shop. It could also be because any sensor, i.e. throttle, could be sending a wrong lecture to the module.
A throttle blow through will probably cure this. The throttle body can get dirt built up in it which means it doesn't hover perfectly, won't cost much. The throttle casing is also a possibility but its unlikely to be damaged. A garage would notice this when you take it in anyway. Good luck
if you have a manual choke, this does happen if not used in a while or it is cold.I The best thing to do is warm the engine up before the person picks it up. This, in theory, stops the revs from running high. If you have an automatic choke, just rev it upto the rev counter and warm the engine.Hope this helps
this is cuased by yr driving, low revs because u are on high gear going slow and high revs due to low gear going fast. if revs are high, change to next gear and vice versa with low revs
