Answers:
The answer is no you will not need to get a new licence as it is valid until you are 65. However when you do past your test and apply for the full licence then you will get the photocard licence.

£16/25 per hour dependant where you are. The theory costs £25 and the practical is £48.50.

Insurance is all dependant on age, number of years licence held, no claims discount and the type of car you drive. I would do a search on the internet for insurance quotes, try tesco, asda and even confused.com. Or Budget, Endsleigh etc..

Road tax depends on the size of the engine. Mot is standard £35/45 dependant where you go.
You will need to apply for a new provisional licence if you do not have a photo one. You will have to take a theory test and a practical now. It is all v. expensive. check out www.dsa.gov.uk that should tell you what you need to know.

Good luck!
There should be an expiry date on your license. Not sure where tho!
I'm learning to drive at the moment and it costs £18 per hour. The theory costs £25 and the practical is £48.50.
As for the cost of a car, it depends which car you get!! The MOT itself doesn't cost much but if there's anything wrong with the car it puts the price right up. Tax is about £90 for six months. Insurance is dependent upon your age, driving experience, no claims, type of car etc. It all depends really!! Look on confused.com to compare insurance quotes, they're really good.
Hope that helps and good luck!!
Have to start from scratch. lessons average about £20 p/h with the big driving schools.
i too was learning 10 yr ago wen i was 18 and am wanting to go in for my test, my how time costs money. we shuold really have done it years ago then we could have saved all this extra money and pressure of also doing the theory and hazard test.
I have been on the test site and it requests a valid passport for those of us with paper licenses. 10 yr ago a lesson cost me £11 you did not take theory and a test cost 20 sumit £. now a lesson is £15-18 theory is £21.50 and a practical test is £48.50. car costs: depends wot n where? mot abt £40, tax £100 per yr or £60 6 mnth. damn we should have done it years ago!!
Your old theory pass will not be valid (I think you must pass within 2 years of taking your theory). Lessons are about £20 an hour these days. Theory is probably about £30 & practical about £60. You can get a cheap runaround for about £500 - £40 mot on it (but if it's old it will probably need work to pass - that could cost anything). Tax for a cheap one litre for 6 months is £68 & insurance for a new driver on a one litre could be as much as £6 - 700. You will need to renew your paper provisional for a photocard - I think that's about £12. It is very expensive to run a car these days - that's without the petrol.
