I'd have thought you were probably best trying to borrow a neighbours trailer and transporting it by car yourself. If the motorbike is in working condition and road legal, I'd even consider getting a mate to drive it there for you and bung him twenty or thirty quid for his train fare home. There are plenty of one man and their van outfits too who advertise in the classified sections of the local free press. Any company who have a website would be really expensive. Pickfords removals would do it (or any large national removals chain) as what they call a "part-load" - ie. the first half-full van they have going that way they would chuck the motorbike on the back as an extra (empty of petrol naturally). It's a bit cheaper than a special trip, but there is no guarantee of a delivery time - it all depends what other jobs are going that way. It could take weeks or even months for what is really quite a small journey. They would still charge you at least £100 or more I think.
eBay is full of guys with vans moving bikes and cars.. theyre bloody expensive.bung your mate 30 quid and use his van. (plus the diesel)
