What additive do i need to add to petrol to improve performance of my car?
Answers:
hi, engines are desigined to run on 99+ ron fuel, thats why cars never meets the stats given by manufacturers, redx is great for flushing injectors and a quick flush through of fuel lines ect. one of the better fuel aditives ive found is "power boost" sold at halford. but put redx through first. an engine tune will make more difference than putting something in the fuel. and just spend some money on your engine.

Try an octane booster; there are many different brands available on the market.
DEFINITELY WATER BRO.
Dont be cheap, just buy decent petrol from the start. Love your car & love the environment @ the same time !
depending on which country you live in you can use a higher grade fuel if your car runs on petrol then you can use premium but if you are already using this then there are usually octane boosters you can buy that you mix with the fule to get slightly more power and economy out of however if you are looking for more power then its usually easier to simply get some bolt on performance parts like a turbo
buy higher grade petrol
rocket fuel
From what I've seen they are all basicly useless. Go get a tune up, change out your fluids regularly [the cars as well ;) ],and make sure your tires are inflated to the propper presure.
Cheers !
had the performance decreased?
Maybe you need a fuel injector flush, or if it's mild build up, try Seafoam brand additive.
if you just want to "boost" your performance, try the highest grade of fuel you can buy ( they all have ratings) or look for a commercial additive.
I really does help to run the best fuel you can afford.
Try Redex additive. Just pour the bottle into your petrol tank when you fill up with petrol and that's it!!
Halfords sell Redex. Click on the link below and go to the section called car maintenance.
www.halfords.co.uk
use an octane booster.
or buy Shell V Power (99 RON), most super unleaded (97-98 RON)
My car runs smoothest on Texaco Super-Unleaded or Tesco Super-Unleaded (Car=Calibra 2.5, motorway MPG 33-39)
Octane Booster sometimes works out more expensive than Super-unleaded
You need an octane booster
Click on the link below, then on Automotive and then select Octane Plus from the Fuel Treatments pull down menu. Then click on GO for info
Cars are designed to run on petrol as it comes, being well maintained and tuned is the way to get the most from your car.
Dipetane Fuel Treatment.
It reduces Smoke and Emissions and also reduces Fuel costs as your Engine runs better.
I have been looking for that magic additive for years. Chevron Has Techron good for carbon on valves. MY best recommendation is no additives and use the correct grade of fuel, change oil often.
BERRYMAN'S B12 CHEMTOOL.
Run it on high test.
Buy it from where the trade go -
motor factors
e.g.
Brown Brothers
I hope this helps.
Try Sugar!! Lot of energy there!
No seriously try an octane booster, like Redex or put in better fuel like Shell V Power / BP ultimate.
Red x fuel additive will clean you plugs and head
some Guinness
When you say "add to petrol" do you mean mix in with the petrol itself, or just any other factor in the car driving experience? I always find that my own adrenalin makes my car go a hell of a lot faster!
