Is it a good idea to travel frequently by express train?
On paper, this sounds terrific. But from a health perspective, is it good to travel twice a day (going to work and back home) on an express train?
Answers:
Of course it's a good idea -- what would make you think it's not. Not only is it beneficial to the environment to have fewer autos on the highway; but research has shown that commuting by automobile (and traffic tie-ups that accompany the practice) actually lead to life-shortening stress levels. It's good for you; it's good for the environment. Who could ask for anything more?
yes no illhealth especially as u can sleep longer
yeah.ofcourse.if ur in a hurry u can go in an express train
but u'll not fall ill!
do you think the trains drive themselves ?
or you think there's a bunch of train drivers with health problems , yeah ?
i do it everyday and i live in NY..it is convenient
Well, I think there is no problem but if you are in doubt check the train driver“s medical reports and you will find out for sure.
What difference can it possibly make as to how fast the train goes - except it gets you there quicker ! Many people already do that anyway - Kings Cross to Peterborough is a prime example.
If you really ask such questions let me remind you of the famous quotation:
"Rail travel at high speed is not possible, because passengers, unable to breathe, would die of asphyxia."
- Dr Dionysus Lardner (1793-1859), professor of Natural Philosophy and Astronomy, University College London.
So now you really have something to worry about.
Meanwhile I shall continue to use the Maglev in Shanghai at 431kph (270mph) without problem!
it is better to travel in a nice comfortable Chelsea tractor, 17 minutes is OK but it is the time getting to the station and from the station to Kings Cross or where ever you go in london for "Business" that ruins the day.
Lesws stressful than a car journey.
yes
