Got £2600 to buy a car. Prefer a 1.4 litre, tempted by a 206 or megane. Any better idea's?

megane is very bad car , i have the 2006 megane it sucks, go for the 206 or polo
Have you thought about Opel? They're notably good on gas and are inexpensive to maintain. They also make a new model Corsa coming out in 2007 that's a lot better looking than the previous body styles. Good Luck.
ive got a 2001 ( y) reg ford fiesta, excellent condition, 57000 miles mot till june, taxed, its a 1.25 finesse, brilliant little car, you give me £2600 and its yours, its book price at ford is £ 2950
i would suggest a 2nd hand mecedes a class or chrysler pt cruiser, very nice cars, and nice shape to, and you get a bit of class 4 your money, and they are good runners last a long time also. good luck
Mitsubishi engines are very reliable. Go for a Carisma or Lancer. They are roomy and won't break the bank. They run well and are very economical. If that is your budget then look no further. On personal taste of course sure everyone has differing ideas but for your budget and with a sensible head on, heed me.
I'd opt for the 206, despite the fact that the front bushings wear pretty quick.
Don't buy either their both made by the french and rubbish, I've driven both, if it has to be one of them go for the megane, if not Honda's go on forever and are extremely reliable I have an Astra and I cant fault it, I thrash the pants off it and it never goes wrong. (had it for four years)
