Where can I get a cheap B service for my Smart Roadster in SE London that maintains the warranty?
Answers:
Since the end of 'block exemption' a couple of years ago, ANY reputable garage can service your car as long as they use GENUINE replacement parts and follow the manufacturers service schedule.
Find yourself a trustworthy local garage and use them. State what you need (and why you need it done that way) and chances are, you will get better service, better servicing, more convenience for you and a cheaper price (although remember that you get NOTHING for NOTHING, you will always get what you pay for).
dealers are always last resort ,,,look around your area for shops or phonebook under brakes & you should ask 3 or 4 shops to compare. remember brakes are the most important thing on your car so get the primium service for a little xtra & this includes new parts, rotors turned & a written guarentee.but a place that mainly does brakes is where i go for a great work at good price..
By cheap do you mean cheaper than the dealer, or just cheap? It is worth shopping around but make sure when you call for quotes/to book in you make it clear you'd like original parts used so that the warranty can be maintained. You can get a good deal at an independent, just look around.
Another factor which not many customers take into account, is that the dealer may not change the same/as many parts as another garage inclusive in the cost of the service (yes, even if you say B service). Be certain to ask the dealer what filters etc. are changed in the 380, and ask the other garages as well.
Final note, majority of garages quote exclusive of VAT. So check whether the quotes from all (dealer incl.) are inclusive or exclusive of VAT.
any garage that will use smart bits your warranty will still be valid roadsters are more expensive to service then smart for twos any way
